LOL-Exactly why you should not be believed.

but seriously. go look at the window sticker on your 04 GT. It will say what gear ratio, i believe. If not you can look on the tag on the back of the diff. if it says 3g27 or something...you have 3.27s. I can garuantee you no one with an 04 GT has 3.55s stock.

Scroll down to final drive ratio

ps. ford isnt going to all the trouble of giving the autos 3.55s and sticks 3.27s, ford is not that nice first off. second they couldnt justify the cost. especially since they do not advertise 3.55s in the auto.

Hey lets cut the guy some slack. I had big let down when I didn't pull no where close to the 13.97 at 99 mph like the mags were saying you could pull. My first visits to the track netted me with anywhere from 15.69 at 84.12 to 15.18 at 103. Don't ask me how I managed an 84 and 103 mph all in the same night. Initially I would let out before the 1/4 because its hard to tell where the 1/4 ended at. I've learned about my vehicle as well as modded it since that first time and now I'm running 13.79s-13.86s at 99 and 100mph. All is left is to fine tune my driving to maximize my cars potential. The 60' is the biggest and hardest part to learn. My 60's first started out at 2.80s and now Im cutting 2.10s-2.15s. With time and practice they will be lower, and some suspension mods. I'm very proud that the last time I went to the track I was very very consistent. Just learn to drive your car to it's fullest. Don't get discouraged because your not running like others. There are to many variables like AD, elevation, track conditions, engine, driveline component temps.

Your 99 should have 3.27s. Get some 4.10s and a 3500 stall in that auto. Guy probably wont post again because some people ran him off. Most people don't post to get laughed at and made fun of. They are looking for good advice and encouragement. At least he's trying to be honest and not posting some bogus mid 13 second 1/4 time from his almost stock auto.
