I just ordered the Strange 10 way adj. shocks and struts, FRPP rear upper control arms (I have MM RLCA's) and I will have MM full length subframes welded in, add a HPM DS loop, a battery relocation box, and rear Nitto 275 40 DR's installed, and I'll probably unhook my front sway bar for weight transfer all for the track this Sunday. My only other suspension mod is a pro kit. I hope to be capable of boging the car what do ya'll think

anyway-
Can my DS loop be welded to the subframes ?
I installed my rear LCA's anything much different for the lowers ?
How do you lower the front springs out w/o getting killed ?
anything unusual w/ battery relocation ?

gotta get this stuff in by Friday night

Changing out the arms was pretty easy. A lot easier than the lowers. The problem is with the differential bushing where the upper attaches to the rear end. To make this mode effective, you have to change out the soft factory one. Getting the factory bushing out is a bi-atch!!! Can be done though. You will need a whole saw and a 3/8's inch drill. I also used a die grinder with a rotary file to get all the last bit of rubber pieces out of the metal casing. Good luck, just take your time.

i just installed uppers last week. No problems at all :nice: (aside from using two of the bolts in the wrong place & having to do half of it over  )

it's a pretty straight forward install, i don't think you should have much of a problem at all. good luck with it man :nice:

1) Either rent or buy a spring compression tool from Sears or Autozone. You'll need the McPherson Strut compresstion tool for the front and it will work for the back as well. This will make the springs a lot easier.
2) The uppers aren't that difficult by themselves. However, if you change out the bushings (I went with UPR spherical bearings) you should get the maximum motorsports tool:

If you go with the UPR spherical bearings buy a shorter bolt then is supplied with the tool. I made the mistake of bottoming out the thread and almost could not get the tool out.
Good luck.

I didn't order any additional bushings for the rear UCA's :bang: is that a major part for this instal ? How much difference does it make ?
The bushings came with my Steeda UCA's. They're a 3 piece bushing: inner brass tube, outer rubber and rubber end piece.

what you get we get a day or so later. No real tornado threat here though thank God.

damn now I need to know about the bushings that come with the FRPP upppers. :(

Yea we got tornado warning... Everyone was freakin' out. The tornado almost formed I believe, in Krum.. The sky was pretty bizzare.. very scary.. The rain almost went side way... Glad it's all over.. but it's still raining.. ugh..
