new tires

Really depends on your intentions. For strictly street miles hard to beat the price on the KUMHO tires. If you are more of a street strip guy I recommend NITTO drag radials, they will hook well at the track and better than most on the street with good mileage out of them.

I'm getting some Kumho tires, I think they are the 712's but I'm not sure. Anyone have experience with them?
Yes they suck ass and I was riding them with an Rx7 with 275's and they couldn't catch worth **** and were **** in the rain. Worst tires ever.

See my signiture. You will NOT be disspointed. I got them at discounttiredirect.com for 108 each shipped. I love them and have gotten lots of compliments. They hook in dry and wet terrain. It is amazing how well they hook in the rain!

Drag radials for the rear, no questions, no other options. Kumho's, Falcons and other cheapo tires are great for the front of a mostly drag car, but on the rear, you have to be kidding. I run Nitto's on the rear, and never would look back.

Well I got my Kumho tires on today, and they hook a lot better then my old dunflops ever did. We will see how they do in the rain, and at the track. I wll eventually be getting a set of "Track only" rims and tires, so as long as they hook OK at the track I will be happy. Oh, anyone want a set of bald azz dunlops, and 16X8 centerlines... PM me.

Nitto's are good for the daily drive, BFG's are a little much. I was suprised of how well the Nitto's handled in the rain. Even for street only use, the nitto's grip so much better. Spinning tires was cool when I first got my car but now I hate it.

So does anyone know anything about the M/T DR's yet? All i've really heard about them is reports of 60 ft. times dropping 2 tenths over Nittos and BFGs, and that there will be a bunch of sizes for 15, 16, and 17 inch rims with prices starting at around $160 each.

I'm sure there's not too much info about them yet, but aren't they supposed to be on the market soon? I would like to know if they would be as good for mostly street driving as Nittos mileage wise. I've heard Nittos can get 10-12k miles on them. I wonder how the M/T's compare.
