What catback for 03 Cobra?

It is for my buddies 03cobra. He is torn between Borla or Bassani. Whichone is louder guys? What are the performance gains with a catback with nothing else bolted on.

Last I heard was that borla stinger and magnaflow cat backs make the most power because there straight threw mufflers.I think borlas are louder than magnaflows.If I were to buy again it would be borla stingers again

I would have to agree, your cobra does sound pretty sick whenever you drive by my dealership.

I went with Bassani again. also had it on my 01 GT

sounds totally different on the cobra though... Loud as hell with the baffles out. With baffles in its nice for daily driving....of course mine only sees trips to the track so the baffles will remain out...Actually when your not on it its ok..drones a bit with baffles out...when you rev it above 2000 look out hehe

I am actually going to bring my baffles with me to the track first time out because etown is getting on peoples cases about the noise ordinance on night racing.... I heard a cobra with JDMS Kooks headers, JDMS PIpe and magnaflow cat back and that was really loud..louder than my car...they gave him some grief but let him keep racing...so i think ill be ok..

I gained 10hp and I think around 5 TQ with Bassani X and Cat back....I had expected a bit more.....it was 90 degreed out the day I had it dynoed though and humid as hell...


that puts me at 444HP and 500 TQ!

I think im good in terms of HP although I was hoping for a bit more from the set up.. I am going with the new Superchips Tune soon and Ill see what that gets me...

I have seen some sick cobras, but the guys running 500+hp arent at the track all the time and if they were they would be breaking alot...Rears (half shafts/Diff)and CLutches are the week link on the 03 -04 cobras

JDMs cobra was out testing different rear components last season at etown.. Jim was fed up with the problem when I talked to him and that very run the rear went. I think he was pushing 600hp with slicks

I wouldnt mind getting some mods that will help the car cool better and run cooler. My car runs 11.7 when its cool out and the car is cold. It runs 12.2- 12.3 when its hot.....

The Bassani sounds awesome.....not raspy with the entire Bassani system and baffles out.
