I've posted this questions on power adders with no luck, but what I want to know from fellow stang owners is can I run 75 shot of nitrous or is this a bad idea for the motor. Some local shop won't install nitrous kits on 4-valve motors. They will, howeveer, install nitrous on 2-valve motors. Is nitrous too much for the mighty dohc to handle

It would only be used at the track for improve timeslips :hail2:

any input would be helpful :nice:

I have no clue why any shop would not install n2o on a dohc. The 4v's can easily handle more power, and more so than a 2v imho.
75 shot of NOS? hell yes - i wouldnt even hesitate. In fact, you could probably install a 75 shot without doing anything else fuel or spark related. 75 shot or more - then Id be adding fuel and changing timing.

I'm doing a lot of research right now for what kind of kit I may need. A close buddy of mine was running 75 shot on his 94 gt. It ran good for a little over two years. He up it to 150 shot and after one run that was the end of his motor. I'm not too familiar with how nitrous runs on the 4-valves. Don't know anybody with a cobra that year that is running nitrous

When I was checking into a supercharger I was told that I need to lower the compression among other engine prep so that the 4 valve can handle it.

So for now I was thinking 75 shot.

My best run was a 14.1 completely stock over a year and a half ago and I haven't had the time to return to the track due to more important situations. But now that I have more free time I think it is time to return.

I already have 4:30 waiting to go into the car along with some other changes. And I'm looking to break into high to maybe even mid 12's.

I just want to know how safe or what kind of prep i need to due??? :nice:
