K&N FIpk

Don't hold the clutch to the floor when you slow to a stop. Put the car in neutral and let the clutch out or downshift. If you are not pushing the clutch in and it is still doing it, unplug your batter and turn on the headlights. After a few minutes plug the negative of the battery back up. Drive it for a few days and it should learn the new filter and work fine. Mine stalled once after installing the K&N FIPK but never has since.

I just installed an accufab throttle body and plenum the other night and it caused the same thing. High idle and stalled a few times. After about 600 miles it has learned and the idle is back to normal and no stalls.

also take the 03 to the dealer and get the free flash update.... it's free, I did...

Already had my computer reflashed by my tuner. I would get the free flash, but then I would have to go back to my tuner and get him to reflash over that tune to get the car running again. Too much $$$.

What is the the "free flash update", and how do I know if I need one?

The 03 Cobras were rated at 22mpg highway and got a $1000 gas guzzler tax because it wasn't within acceptable passenger car gas mileage standards. The 04s have a new flash that takes care of that raising the fuel economy to 24mpg (no more gas guzzler tax) and also deals with a few other issues. My friend also got his 03 Cobra reflashed, but he was still running the stock tune. Since I have had my tune modified, it is not so easy for me to just get the updated flash. I'd have to get that and then have my tuner adjust my fuel, timing and other numbers in that tune so my car could safely run as it is modified (pulley, exhaust, CAI, throttle body, etc.).
