Actually, there are only a few mods that offer any real gains. For na, good induction mods include tb/plenum and K & N air filter. Good exhaust mods include LT headers and x-pipe. You could also add u/d pulleys, timing adjuster or chip. Suspension mods include LCA, UCA, shocks, and struts. You might want to start by focusing on one area and then seek feedback on the best parts in that area. That is what I did, and I am very pleased with the results.

Automatics need the Jerry Mod first for like 75.00. It will give you a huge boost in Shifting. Go to tccoa.com and click on the Tech area under Trans 101. Do Not buy Transgo they will screw up the 99+ cars. Gears, K&N, Mid pipe O/R H or X and a chip to put it together. These four things will transform your car more than anything for 725.00 (all new) not including labor.
You will Great shifts, More bottom end power from the gears and about 20 rwhp from the other mods.

Yes the CAI, Pulleys, throttle body, Plenum, Catback help but for the money the others items will give a bigger performace boost. All this will cost you about 1100.00 new not including labor. You will net maybe 15 rwhp but only get horsepower.

A good used Vortech Supercharger is a consideration, gears and a Jerry Mod. Maybe 1000.00 more or less than all the above together?

I know this isn't a blot on, but my husband really likes his Hypertech.

It costs about 200 (unless he lied to me). It raises your redline limiter 500 rpms, gives you a boost in horsepower, adjusts your speedometer if you install aftermarket gears and increases your top speed limiter. It does more, but I can't remember.

You might want to look into it. He said it droped his 1/4 mile time .2 seconds.
It has been consistent so far.

I am with the guy that said " I should have just bought a s/c" I have spent all this money on mods, and I could have gotten a s/c with a tune and would be running 12's on street tires. But for us impatient poor folks Go with gears, exhaust, and pulleys. I have, are at least tried, all the bolt on mods. My next move is to polish and port my heads, hope that is not another wasted mod.
Good luck
