i have seen on here were people have got plenty of mods such as full exhaust and maybe some intake mods and have dynoed and only be around 245 -260. i thought the newer stangs were rated at 260hp. can anybody explain?

yeah i think my a/f ratio could have been messed up a but im not sure how to read it i have the dyno sheet scanned i wish someone could read it for me but its too big to post and i dont know how to shrink it from 351 kb down to the size allowed

260hp is at the motor.... a stock mustang usually dynos ~230 rwhp. If they are making 245-260hp at the wheels then they are actually making 15-20% more at the motor... Factory HP is not rated at the rear wheel.

And heres the sad part.....
I have a cuz with a '01 WS6 Trans Am with only a catback and a different airbox than ran a 330whp on a dyno. :nonono: :nonono: :nonono: :bang:

:bs: Finding this hard to believe since the 01 WS6 T/A was 'only' rated at 325 HP (that's NOT at the rear wheels), so likely about 260-275 actually at the wheels (using the formula of 15-20% parasitic drivetrain loss). Hard to imagine a cat back and different airbox gained an additional 55-70 RWHP...Musta been one of those 'fun-house' dynos where everything is distorted.

ive heard the WS6s are actually rated at a lower hp than they are  i/they could be wrong tho. it does sound fishy for GM to rate a lower power
