any pics of DSG mustangs with carbon fiber hoods

i've been looking at the newer cobra r hoods and ran across a carbon fiber hood and looks pretty good plus it doesnt need to be painted

if anyone can find pics of one on a dark shadow grey, i would appreciate it

Carbon Fiber is cool, but a little ricey in my opinion... Especially if left unpainted.

I dont think it would look overly ricey, just make sure its top grade carbon fiber, and that the mold is nice, and that the fit and finish is good. Another idea is that if you dont want to have it be black, find a paint shop that can "mist" it for you, so that its more like a see through DSG with carbon fiber look underneath, or a DSG tinted carbon fiber. That would look awsome IMO.

I am also thinking of getting a CF hood for my stang (Black 03) and came across a pretty slick hood at this site http://grounddynamics.com/merchant/mainpage.htm. They sell a CF cowl induction hood for $475. You have to click on the news link on the left top of the page, and then click on the BW3 link. I think this hood is pretty cool looking. Does anyone know anything about the quality of product from this place?

they're on ebay...just search for cobra r hood and you'll see it, i believe it runs about $525 or 550

my friend was telling me how you could mist it...i believe they just shoot it straight in the air and makes it look awesome when it cures...i really think i would love to do that...thanks for everyone's input....once i get the money...i will get it and take pics so everyone will know what it looks like

I can picture a mineral grey GT with that hood right now, and I don't think it would look good. DEFINATELY do the mist or just paint it.
