"Did I gain any RWHP?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Removed my Cobra Nose and reinstalled my "Original" GT Nose. Am I the only one that actually prefers the retro look of the original grille? Plus being smaller, I hope to have less "drag" (to help offset the giant wing). The main reason for removal was actually because I didn't like the curled-up Cobra lip...and some turd-smear did a super suck surface prep job on the bumper cover before painting it - looked perfect for a few months, but now tiny bubbles are popping up all along the bottom."

That is the first post of the thread. your initial question has nothing to do about brakes. I gave you quite a lengthly explanation of body kits and such, but your ignorance must have read right over it to type in another post that makes no sense. You asked if changing the bumper gave you horsepower, everyone says NO. The answer, no matter how many posts/smiley faces you decide to add, is still NO. HP is different than downforce that air applies on a car. I didnt realise this was so incredibly hard to understand. if you want free posts do it in a non tech forum. believe it or not, some people actually come here for information.

Yes, it's a "subject line", but if someone actually took the time to read the *text* they'd figure out real fast that I wasn't actually concerned with HP...at all. That's why HP wasn't mentioned even ONCE during the entire original body of text:

"Am I the only one that actually prefers the retro look of the original grille?"
"Plus being smaller, I hope to have less 'drag' (to help offset the giant wing)."
"The main reason for removal was actually because I didn't like the curled-up Cobra lip..."

Yeah. See. That's what I thought.

There is no hope here. BuffaloZone is the same guy that USED to have "TYPE R WING" in his sig instead of Cobra R Wing. He was :owned: after someone pointed it out and in the end said "I'll call it what I want". Now it seems to read Cobra R wing. Looks like he realized what a dingus he was being then, maybe he will after this is all said and done but it won't happen in the thread.

this thread is so f%^king stupid.

You're crying about "TYPE R WING" at a forum that probably thinks bumber=bummer, bumber=bumper, braiks=brakes, breaks=brakes, losing rwhp doesn't mean a loss of rwhp...and probably countless 1,000's of other nice little ignorant "slips" every day?

:D

So you won't reply on this thread again?

one more. I will give you a little insight. when everone else things you are wrong and you are the only one hanging on the "I am smarter than everbody" bs defending your pointless position. You are proably wrong or someone would have agree'd with you by now.

I mean **** I must have gained some rwhp when I got out my car this morning by your logic.

I doubt it.

When you can't even spell "thinks"?

"things"?

Liar. I never made that claim.

This guy just doesn't seem to get it

That's why --you-- said:

"They WILL use up more of that rear wheel horsepower to turn, but they won't change the amount of rear wheel horsepower"

They suck up HP, but it won't "change" the HP numbers? That's like saying a product WILL really increase your fuel economy, but it sure won't change the amount of miles you can drive on a tank of fuel.

You're saying that "faster" isn't "quicker"? That's like saying "slow" sure isn't "sluggish"...

No "faster" is not "quicker". Fast is like saying "My car can do 250 MPH. But it takes 30 minutes to get to that speed". Quick is like saying "My car can do 250 MPH and it only takes 8 seconds to get there". In order to be "Quick" you have to be "Fast". You don't have to be "Quick" to be "Fast"

While 99% of this thread has been a bunch of name calling Bull S***, most of the people calling it a stupid question put very little thought into it why it was wrong. In BuffaloZone's defense he simply asked that by decreasing drag, does it affect power. I don't see that as such a stupid question.

If power = (force*distance)/time what part of the equation is effected by drag. If you are standing on the throttle, force remains constant. drag reduces the amount of force required to move the car so with the same amount of force distance is either increased or time is decreased, leaving power output the same, but overall performance would be increased But I doubt there is enough drag reduced by changing the bumper.

So, the answer is still no, but at the very least I think he put a little more thought into his question, than I think most (not all) put into their answers.
