Driving my cobra this morning I could tell that my clutch doesn't have much life left. Whats the best clutch for a daily driven Cobra and can hold a lot of torque.. My horsepower and torque numbers are on my sig.
I have a SPEC stage 2 and it has lasted 15k (3k with the blower). Once it's broken in it's really a pretty well mannered clutch. It will chatter though you if bog it bad or something.
As long as you break the Spec's in right they will be just fine...I have no chatter here anymore...a little when it was breaking in but it's perfect now...even after many 4k+ track launches...

I have an Apex Motorsports dual kevlar clutch. It isn't cheap, but it feels great, it won't ever chatter (even during break in), and it will handle horsepower up to about 800.
Honestly, for the amount of hp/tq you have, and since it's daily driven and you want to keep it streetable, just replace your clutch with another OEM 11" clutch. No chatter, stock feel, you know what to expect, and it can handle a lot of abuse.

Interesting point you all have made. I have a fairly stock 99 cobra and I put in a dual friction centerforce clutch. I must say it has a funny feel to it when Im just causually driving around, it kind of feels spongy, is that chattering? Basically feels different every time I push it down. I knew I was suppose to break it in, but my mechanic said just dont launch the car hard, he said as long as you were already moving, I could shift it at as high an rpm as I wanted, do you think this did damage? Clutches are a pain in the ass!
