H/C/I done!!

Looking at that third picture it looks like you forgot to drain the coolant out before you took the heads off. I hope you have changed the oil, it would def. not be good to have coolant in the oil.

Also how do you like the Typhoon intake I have been told it is more of an upper RPM intake, did you lose any low end with it???

i set it as far back as i could get it at the time.. the tps is set at something like 2.53volts, which i know is way to high but its the best i could get it to at the time.. i'll play around with it again later though

i'm not sure on the exact price but i think with everything that i put on the total is probly alittle under 4 grand, maybe closer to 3,500

i love the intake.. it definatly suffers in the low rpms, but i wasnt lookingto build a torque monster with this car.. and yes it does do the same thing, it surges pretty bad for the first 5 minutes or so and then it calms down.. as for the fuel pressure i'm not sure what its at.. the guage isnt working right now so it set at whatever will keep te car running

i did drain the coolent but i guess that was just some left over in the bock.. i got it al out by blowing it out with compressed air, then i used as shop vac and rags to clean everything up

well I wouldn't call it disappointing, it's just about the same as it was before, I can still lug it at 1600RPMs and accelerate up a hill, but when you floor it you don't get the awsome pushback, but when it hits about 4K it's like you hit the Nitrous or somthing it just wants to keep pulling. but everything I bought is for high RPM use, 1.9/1.6 valves on heads, typhoon intake,but the cam can be used for torque applications too. I used to dream up what I wanted to put into my car too when i was in school, that's why it took me so long to come up with the money because I wanted to do it right. I'd been researching since about 2002 so I planned things out pretty good, but dreaming is still fun. I'm now dreaming of 10 PSI and a vortech :D
