Where do I begin? Thanks T&J and Kenne Bell!!!

The best word I can use to describe the kit is "thorough". The installation guide contained 200+ pages of detailed pictures and text to describe how to complete each task. It is by far the best installation guide and I've read thru the Vortech, Paxton, and ATI Procharger manuals. There is no comparison. As far as the kit goes, it is very high quality and very thorough also. Some companies will tell you in their manual that you need to extend a sensor. Kenne Bell provides you with the wire, the solder, and the heat shrink tubing to extend the sensor. They really took the time to make this kit a cut above the rest.

As far as the installation of the kit goes, I want to thank Andy Barth of T&J for putting in a ton of time to help me put it in. His expertise, patience, and incite helped me greatly and I really can't begin to thank him. Andy is the man!!! I also want to thank several of my friends for stepping up and helping me out also. I want to thank Tim Lavelle, Dave Parkins, and Brandon for taking time out to help me double check my work and catch those mistakes that I made.

As far as the tuning goes, I want to thank Tim Barth of T&J once again for stepping up and putting a perfect tune in my car. Using the SCT software to tune the car, he was able to get 398hp and 415ft-lbs of torque after the 8th pull on a hot and humid day. The car has 16 degrees of timing and we were seeing around 8-9psi on the dyno on the last pull.

As far as the driving experience goes, the 9psi KB really pulls hard down low and just keeps pulling. The torque really gets your attention when you spin with drag radials thru 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears. I will definitely have a learning curve with this car at the track.

Here's my dyno graph before with the Vortech(9psi):

And here's my new dyno graph with the KB(9psi):
New dyno

Check out the main thread here.

Not to be mean but I am just curious why did you spend the money to buy a second SC kit plus install, tune, etc? You gained 40 lb/ft of tq and have a fatter powerband but is there really enough difference to justify the extra $5K+.

Would you do it again?

After driving it, it's justified. I gained nearly 100 ft-lbs of torque and 50hp at 3000rpms. I have also already sold my first blower kit so I didn't really lose much money.

Nice numbers and I agree the extra 100 ft-lbs is nice but can you really use it at 3000rpm w/out spinning the tires like crazy?
Nope, I can't. :) But I can drive it w/o getting into boost.

Some people think that if they put a blower on their car that they can't get 3000 miles out of their tires and that they can't drive in adverse conditions. You just have to learn to have patience and not put your foot to the floor unless you are at the track or have some good space where you won't hurt someone else. This car definitely requires more patience with the right foot than the Vortech.

I am also thinking about getting a blower but can't make up my mind if I want vortech or kenne bell, Do you think I will be alot more happy with the kenne bell seeing as you've had experience with both. I could care less about traction problems, I want the damn thing to destroy the tires. I just want a blower that makes a ton of power all the way through not just up top. Does the kenne bell make the car feel like it's alot more powerful because of the increased torque? Also how long was install? Thanks a ton and nice numbers hope you enjoy it.
