O2 SENSOR WILL NOT COME OFF!!! HELP!!!

It isnt coming off... I dont care what anyone says... I got the one side off... this side no way... I broke the o2 so then i got a regular socket on it... 1/2 inch 2 foot breaker bar...Thing wont come off... Any ideas???? All help appreciated!!! I tried wd40 and bangin it with a hammer and also praying to lord... none worked....

Thats what I am doing now... Remember I am on jack stands... I have an off road h pipe... I get burned... I will be really mad!!!!!!! REALLY MAD!!!!!!!!!!

I got burnt... No way that thing is coming off... it has to go to a shop to be put on a lift.... It is the only way!!!

ya, mine was like that too. I just took the welding torch to it and heated it up. Came off after that

I did the same thing, get a torch and heat that BI#CH up and it will come right out. good luck

What is PB Blaster??? If I buy headers they will be shorties...

PB Blaster is a high grade penetrating oil. WD 40 is a lubricating oil. You need PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench (penetrating oil) to get that sensor out. Spray it on, let it sit for a while (say, 15 minutes), give it a second spritz, let it sit (15 minutes more), then try.

pb blaster is the way to go when you have something rusted or hard to loosen.

Are you taking off your H-pipe? If so you can probably just disconnect the electrical connector and then remove the pipe. Then you can get a bit more leverage to remove the sensor since you won't be under the car. If you aren't removing the pipe then I guess I don't really know what to tell you. I just used a breaker bar to remove mine.

Excellent idea: disconnect the electrical leads and take the pipe off first. Just be careful not to knock the sensors on the ground!

LOL mine were a pain, but not too bad. infact they were probably the hardest part of my exhaust install, the rest was elementry. I just used a monster adjustable wrench, which probably wasnt smart, but it worked.

I ran into the same problem. Liquid Wrench worked for me.

Removing the O2's was probably the most difficult task when I helped remove my friend's H pipe. Now, when I swap out my cars OEM H for something better, everything will get Liquid Wrench'ed
