Camp humphreys, Im a GSU assigned to osan. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THERE IS A KENNE BELL MUSTANG HERE...IN KOREA???:drool::drool: I want to see that baby before i leave here for good in 2 weeks!
Yea, I'm the Bright Blue 2000 GT running around Osan. How often you get over here? You out-processing over here? I actually work up in Seoul and do the daily commute, but I live here in the Osan area (behind the phone co.).

Yea ill be outproccessing there most of next week (after this coming week). I have my final CDC test monday the 26th and Chem. gear turn-in tuesday, so ill be up there those days, plus after i outprocess the squadron here on the 30th i will be staying up at osan for the weekend (probably off base because Turumi Lodge is full) I dont remember seeing your bright blue GT. i know i've seen a red one, and a black one running around tho.
Let me know, i would love to see that thing! :flag:

it doesn't include dyno and tune. however, Ken at KB said that i don't need to dyno tune cause' their tune is perfect for the car.
FYI, it costs about 65 dollars for 3 dyno pulls here.

trust me...dyno it with a/f

there is no way they can be 100% sure that the tune is perfect. You just gotta be sure before you start boosting it all over the place ;)

Also flooring it in 5th gear is a no no...puts too much load on the car. ;)

BrightBlue00GT- give the kid a ride. He's already sold on the KB kit, show him what the future holds. :nice: Funny you guys haven't met.

Congrats 01MustangGT on the upgrade. :D

Just keep it under 400HP and you should be ok :nice:

More like do whatever it takes to keep it from detonating. Your engine will last plenty of time as long as there is no pinging. But when your start pushing past 9 psi on 93-94 octane your gonna hear the loud sound sooner or later.

I think i read somewhere in KBs tech that 400 is right around the threshold of staying safe. Im sure some cars can take more, some less, but on stock internals i would be afraid to go much more than that, even on a good tune. 400 is alot of power.

Thanks for the advice, i ll have my car dynoed as soon as i remove my front bumper.

will limit flooring in 5th gear :D

Yes, the tune is most important. Don't let it ping and it'll last a hell of a lot longer; good gas and a good tune. The 400 limit everyone mentions is based on... other peoples experiance, but you can blow your motor at 350 or 450. It all depends on the individual car, the setup and tune, and your driving style. If the thought of racing comes into your head then it's a no brainer to forge everything, but if your a typcial daily driven street car, you can make it last with common sense.

KaPPaBaLL - White people in Seoul :rlaugh: I love it. Yea, there's 37,000 active duty ones, an equal number of dependents, 55,000 civil service employees (govy's), a boat load of contractros and a ton of retirees who do nothing but girl watch... yea, there's a few of us :flag:

smokin'Red35th - cell is 011-9685-8234. Give me a call. The Red 01 GT you see at the Hump is GTJERRY who's running a Procharger on a rather new forged motor after blowing his stock one up a while back. At Osan there's a black Mach 1, black GT, and a couple others. We have several GT's up at Yongsan in Seoul as well as an 03 Cobra. GTJERRY, the 03 Cobra and myself are the only blown stangs I know of, and we cover the gambit; T/S, Roots, and Centrifigal... cool

BLK_ROUSH - yea, it's a small world, but not really :D . I live in one place, work in another, and smokin' lives and works in a a completelty seperate area, but all within a 55 mile radius. Go figure. I would bet he doesn't drive though due to his rank (I assume so due to your mention of CDC's) so that limits the mobility around here greatly getting from one base to another.
