hey guys im working on my video editing skills and i want to make a special video clip of the NW stangs in action. the only catch is that i can only film around seattle/olympia and the surrounding areas (if events are here).

i also wanted to take clips of our stangs (from other people) and make my little music video based off those but i dont know how to make it work. does anyone know what program to use? i have pinnacle studio 8 and i only know how to work off my camera. i am unsure what other program i can use to combine clips off the net into 1 big one!

Use Adobe Premier. I have an older copy around here somewhere but its easy to use and extreamly versitile. You can also get one of those quick teaching guides at a used book store for cheap for the older versions. I'll dig through my CD's and see what I can find for you. :)

::EDIT:: The catch is I get to be in the opening scene :D

Lol... Sounds like a great idea! I've been wanting to purchase a camcorder soon, but I can't bring myself to buy any camera under $1000 cause I want the best quality footage and sound. What kind of camera do you have? I've got a Mac and all the tools to do your editing and special effects addition (final cut pro, etc.), all I need is my camera ;)

My stang should be up and running by the end of this month, let me know when you plan on starting to shoot.

I will be leaving for film school in 3 months and have great footage for you to use from a canon xl-1. Also If you need any help with music or video editing in premiere, final cut or any program out there let me know, this is what I do and live for and love doing.

Nice! This is starting to have potential!

awesome thanks for the input! i am just using a regular Hi-8 video camera plugged into the special hardware i have. i can record it using S-video but dont know how to get sound. i will read up on adobe premier and see whats up!

i saw a clip of the arizona mustangs club and their clip is awesome. i would love to capture all our stuff on a video clip as well.

Do you have a link to their video? I'd love to see it!

It would be sweet if you introduce all the NW stangs that are in the video with their screen names or whatever on the video.. Then just a mix of drive-bys or whatever..

Well, I don't have my own fuel tanker to support a trip up to your neck of the woods. But if you ever come to Portland, let me know and I will give you all the footage of my KB Cobra you could want.

is all this footage on video tape or CDROM? im asking someone about a program and if they can help me get it, i can take you portland guys' CDROM copies of your files (or ill set up an FTP address and u can upload it to my PC). ill keep u guys posted on this project!

just an info note, i am still rather new to this. the only footage i used to make was taking Quake 2 demos and converting them to full blown action flicks. that was back when i was 16! i still like video/game editing so im gonna make this look good!

LOL i dont pay attention to bikes much :)

i seems bikes fall into 2 categories these days: crotch rockets or harleys. next time i see your bike, ill bow down to it!
OH BTW i changed out my headlights on my stang so it looks great now!
