Hey congrats!!!For me I am going to get a procharger....too many restrictions with the KB, like dont hit in 5th, dont go over 5500, dont get on it too much or you will loose your engine LOL,just too many rules. The KB gets full boost very quick, so there is FULL boost at just about every point in a race, but the P1SC hits full boost at peak RPMS, so you motors not always under all that strain, also less chance of pinging. What I like is that you never really get into the boost when driving normally with the P1SC...not sure about the KB on that. Not dissing the KB or anything, but I dont think its what I need for a VERY TRUST WORTHY daily driver.I am sure the KB will get much better times though if you have the traction since it has a ton more lowend power and torque.Anyways have fun with the new KB!!!!

WOW, are you misinformed about Twin Screw blowers  . A T/S blower is by far the most daily driver friendly blower around making it extremely trustworthy. There is not limit on going into boost in 5th gear, in fact you actually go into boost easier at high gears. There is no 5500 rpm limit. Mine is set to 6800 now. A 5500 shift point limit would be crazy. Yes, you can absolutely be at full boost/power as low as 2000 rpm, but it is all throttle position related and you don't get into boost unless you want to by stomping the throttle. I hit the throttle hard many times in low gears around town and never get into boost. T/S blowers run cooler and are more efficient, thus less strain on a motor, not more.

There are some great articles on twin screws maybe you should read up on before diving in the Procharger, not that it's a bad blower, just the opposite, but if the reason you're getting one is because of your above justification, you're getting it for the wrong reasons.

i agree.
i notice that my engine with the KB is cooler than stock.
when i was stock the temperature needle is in the middle of C and H. Now with the KB, the needle is in 1/4 cooler than when i was stock. :nice:

Yes, the tune is most important. Don't let it ping and it'll last a hell of a lot longer; good gas and a good tune. The 400 limit everyone mentions is based on... other peoples experiance, but you can blow your motor at 350 or 450. It all depends on the individual car, the setup and tune, and your driving style. If the thought of racing comes into your head then it's a no brainer to forge everything, but if your a typcial daily driven street car, you can make it last with common sense.

KaPPaBaLL - White people in Seoul :rlaugh: I love it. Yea, there's 37,000 active duty ones, an equal number of dependents, 55,000 civil service employees (govy's), a boat load of contractros and a ton of retirees who do nothing but girl watch... yea, there's a few of us :flag:

hhaha nice. Girl watchers huh? Lmao! Well, thanks for looking out for my country. :flag:

smokin'Red35th - cell is 011-9685-8234. Give me a call. The Red 01 GT you see at the Hump is GTJERRY who's running a Procharger on a rather new forged motor after blowing his stock one up a while back. At Osan there's a black Mach 1, black GT, and a couple others. We have several GT's up at Yongsan in Seoul as well as an 03 Cobra. GTJERRY, the 03 Cobra and myself are the only blown stangs I know of, and we cover the gambit; T/S, Roots, and Centrifigal... cool

BLK_ROUSH - yea, it's a small world, but not really :D . I live in one place, work in another, and smokin' lives and works in a a completelty seperate area, but all within a 55 mile radius. Go figure. I would bet he doesn't drive though due to his rank (I assume so due to your mention of CDC's) so that limits the mobility around here greatly getting from one base to another.
I KNEW I SAW A COBRA!!! I saw it once here at the hump. i also saw a white one. like a 94-98 model. the 03 is blue right? Nobody believed me :rlaugh: In response to my rank, no im not old enough to drive. In fact, when i got here driving was allowed for E-5 and above. now you have to be an E-7 to drive. Definitely Puts a strain on the base bus and taxi system. But no, im not high ranking enough to drive. This is my first assignment, came here straight from tech school. :D

:D

Korea has a race track? Where did you run your car at?

KaPPaBaLL - Hell ya, there are 2 I know of, but I've only been to the one at Everland in Yongin which is halfway between where I live and work. It's a road race track with a 1/4 sectioned off for straight track racing. There's a newer track a little further way in the other direction, but haven't been there yet.

Devin - Yea the 03 is blue and he works in Seoul. You were not crazy and you can tell the guys that. Yea that sucks about the driving privilage limit changes. I do feel for those who got the shaft. The white one was a 98, but I think he's gone now.

how do u guys drive the KB 9 psi at the track?
my friend and i just try 2000rpm drop from first while racing with the camaro, we spin the tires from first to third, and the camaro was gone. Man, the KB low end torque was just crazy. Second try with the camaro again, but we did from a 20mph roll, we started at second gear, going side way, then grap on road, and we left the camaro about 2 car lengths in instant. We stopped at top of 3rd gear. I didn't know how many car lengths i put on the camaro cause' we was so afraid of the cops, and just kept going to find a place to hide.

Do u guys have any technique that i can control the car without tires spinning? cause' i am planing to go to track next wed
thanks in advance

Yea, it takes some work to get used to. You can't rev to 2500 and dump the clutch, you need to feather it a bit... well, and dump it... and, well it's hard to explain, but you'll get the feel of it. I rarely spin the tires much now without wanting to.

I see what u r saying. I plan on supercharging next year (gotta save some money and get the car ready). I also looked towards the Vortec s/c as well what r your opions on that because I am thinking about going twin screw with kb. Also I would think with all that rear wheel horses you can get better times what kind of drag radials u use, not too sound like an ass just wondering. Other than that great looking and well put together stang.

Vortec, Procharger, Paxton, they're all great blowers don't get me wrong, just make sure you choose the one best for you based on the right reasons is all.

Yea, if I had some other tires/wheels sent over I could improve I'm sure, but my focus must be on daily driving while I'm over here so I take it fairly easy so to keep the breakage possibilites down. Without my daily driver my job would suffer greatly, especially since we're only allowed one registered vehicle over here. Thanks though.

I agree with you on everything. I just installed mine last weekend and it's been a blast.

Congrats on the install, 01MustangGT.

You do want to avoid flooring it in higher gears at low RPM. It puts a good bit of load on the car which is not good. It's better(less load on the engine) to downshift into 4th and floor it at 3000 RPM's than flooring it at 2000 RPM's in 5th gear.

Congrats! I've got 3k on my KB now and it still runs great. I'm not a very good driver, but you do have to feather it to launch right. I love the tq!
thanks, the tq is just imazing, isn't it? :nice:

thanks for the advice, SmithAtlanta.
now i down shift to fourth to pass people.
i just killed a ls1 on freeway in fourth gear. i was getting to another freeway kinda fast. i saw an Z28 ls1 coming fast to challenge me ( somehow ls1 in my area always do that to a stang GT :D ) i think he chose the wrong GT. Thank kenne bell so much, KB makes my day :nice:
As long as he come next to me, i down shift to 4th, smash the gas pedal, psi jumps immediately to 9. the car pulled me into my seat, and i left his azz behind. the look on his face is priceless. i love it when the under dog pulled on the upper dog :D . Anyway, i guess he is stock with just exhaust. i didn't have chance to talk to him cause' he got off the exit immediately after he got smoke.
Kenne Bell rules :spot:
