Historic - and other road racers - any 1/4 mile times

I know that your cars are set up for the track racing. I was just wondering if you have any 1/4 mile runs.

The Friday night drags are the only organized legal racing I can ever fit into my schedule. My 65 coupe is set up for road racing, and I am not going to change it. I am going to throw on slicks and try to sneak into the high 12s.

I was just wondering, what do you guys run?

I'm not sure how you would classify my 66 Fastback's suspension, but it has the Shelby A-arm drop, Branda 600 front coils, HD front swaybar, 5 leaf Canadian Mustang rear leafs, SSB front disks, and KYB shocks. There are no mods to the body/under structure. The only "drag racing" pieces are typical traction bars. Anyway, the car runs high 12s at 112 mph with a lot of wheel spin in 1st and 2nd on street tires.

1/4 mile? That's a short road course

Have not done the 1/4 mile thing in my road racer. At 2650 pounds it should do OK.

Perhaps one day just to see what it can do.
