Ok, after my swap my car runs great! idles great, has no flat spots, etc. Only It dosent have as much power as i hoped for. I believe this is due to my all stock intake system, maf, tb, etc.I have an explorer TB, which i will go fox style in a while. So, seeing as the MAF is the next restriction i will be getting a larger one. BUT, i am wondering, hell! as long as im ordering it, maby i should get it calibrated to 24 pound injectors while im at it, then get the 24's. Do you think thats too much for the mods in my sig?
I think now that i may be having problems because im running the stock maf and i have explorer injectors which flow around 1-2 pounds more, i hear. Whell, what would you do if you owned my fine car?

Yeah I was worried that this thread would be something like "spinners or no spinners?" or "do I really need anything bigger than 22"s?" But back to the topic, 24lbs. injectors won't hurt you but you're probably doing fine on the 19's with the mods you have. If you do decide to get 24's get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

Hahahah ... I thought the same thing! I was like, OH NO!!! 24's!?!?!?! GHETTO STANG! And yea, spinners or not? HA!!

I would agree ... stick with the 19's, go for the bigger MAF. Port those heads and intake for more power.

I chose to stick with 19s with mine..i had the 24s in hand too....my past dyno runs and AF point to the 19s being just fine and not maxxed out....i just swapped in a 93 Cobra and Fox set-up so things really havent changed all that much...I have had no EEC issues at all..I kinda like that..

If your still running the stock EEC then probs could arise from the swap, EEC is configured for 19s, you pop 24 stuff in there, whos knows what could happen...gotta get a new maf to boot, possibly a tuning aid to assist with the swap to iron things out...i said screw it til i re-dyno...that'll should tell me if 24s are really needed...

did your Ex motor have 24s??? I thought some did??? could be mistaken tho...

if ur looking for a cheap package deal you could probably find a pro-m 77mm or 80mm maf with 24# injectors, its really hard to find 77mm or 80mm calibrated for 19# injectors unless u wanna pay full price or around $230, just get 24 # injectors, a 77mm or 80mm maf and an afpr and you should be fine, its not overkill, not 100% needed but atleast in the future u might night have to go swap em out

If you even think about replacing your injectors, you might as well put some 36's in there, for the money. If you can find used 24's for under $80, then I say do it. Otherwise you will be wasting your money.

The gt-40p heads suck in stock form. Port the heads & itake if you want to feel some decent power gains.

my heart just started beating again....whew....i was in the same boat as everyone else. I agree with dingo on this one though, only grab onto some 24's if you can find em cheap, it'll save you in the future
