I have seen this question concerning the t3 b4, but not the IHI. I like the fact that the IHI spools faster.
I currently have a Lg VAM, LA3 ECU, 35 lb Inj., stock head, intake, and bottom end from an 88 TC.
Mods are 3" mandrel exhaust downpipe to tailpipe, CCAI, and gillis boost valve @ 17psi.
Future mods include FMIC, BOB's header, Ported intakes, A237 cam, and home ported head.
Am I wasting my time with any of these mods if I stick with the IHI?
