120lbs on an R6

Hey guys/girls, I am currently in the market for a Yamaha R6. If anyone has a friend, who knows a friend thats selling one let me know. I am all of about 120lbs to those who have not met me, so a 600 is the biggest i can go. But the bike wont even know im there when im riding it, so ill still fly! Im looking to spend around 4,000. Thanks ahead of time.

How much riding experience do you have? An R6 is still a very powerful bike (especially for someone your size). I'm not trying to discourage you, rather make sure you are making the right decision.

I have never ridden an actual Crotch rocket, but i have ridden banshees, etc. I have the logistics down for shifting, cutch, braking, etc. I just dont have any actual seat time on a street bike. I talked to a few different people who have raced and ridden them for over 15 years, they said either an R6, or a sv650 would be the bike i would want to start on, due to my size/experience, or lack there of. The sv is FUGLY, plus I trust in Yamaha. So we will see what happens. Oh and let me know if the dude riding the R6 puts it up for sale, Thats a huge guy on a little bike.
"Fat guy in a little Coat." haha

P.S. buy my F-ing car someone.

I agree that the SV650 is not even close to as nice looking as the R6. A Ninja 500 is also a good choice and looks decent. You could also get a good one for that price. Just be careful. I actually had no street experience (just a lot of dirt) when I got my R1. The 3 most important things I can tell you is take the MSF course, wear your gear and throttle control.

ninja 500 sucks. You'd be sick of it shortly after practicing. I'd just get the used R6. Thats good and easy bike to ride.

Definitely take the MSF course and wear gear. Those guys who wears t-shirt and/or shorts while riding crotch rockets are crazy.

There are 2 types of riders: Those who have dropped the bike before and those who will.

I have dropped my bike, it was a 1999 Kawasaki ZX-9R, blue. It was because someone cut me off while I was doing a wheelie. She said she didn't see me. Thats how dangerous it can be on the roads. After I dropped the bike, I didn't have as much balls I used to have. I was more scared of the other cars and scratching up my pretty bike :(
