1.90 60's on bone stock suspension and street tires.

I cut a 1.92 on Michelin Pilots with just C springs and sfc's my average 60' is 2.0x but my clutch takes a beating for it. I normally have to rev around 4,000-4,400 and ride it out any lower and I bog and cut 2.1x or 2.2x's...

Jackie maybe you can explain this...My best run is a 13.82 with a trap of 97mph but I've gotten 2 or 3 13.9x's with trap speeds of 102 and 103...I know I need to be more consistant with my shift points but it just doesn't add up to me as I don't see my car pulling that much power to trap another 1-2 mph faster than my averages which is 13.9 to 14.0 with 99-101 mph...if you guys need the timeslips to see the info better let me know I'll go screw around with my scanner and get them scanned in.

edit: ya oops I didn't notice this was a older thread

I'm missing my best timeslip still looking for it. has the 1.92 60' with a 13.82 pass but only at 97.9 mph  I know I put it in a safe spot so I wouldn't lose it but guess that was the wrong thing to do :bang:

I've been consistant in the 2.0's lately with only 3 passes sub 2.0 but on the michilen pilots with just the frpp C springs in my sig... I'm still figuring out my shift points after my dyno, I noticed my car stopped making power just at 5300rpm so I started shifting around 5500-5600 but my best traps shown here are when I'm near 5800-6100 rpms I dunno what gives

cap, all of these slips from different nights...or at least the few with different mph? If so the weather might be the reason for the differenceright now Im only going 101, but i will trap 103-4 when better weather rolls around. If I were you I would shift at 5500 in every gear, even into 4th to see what happens. GT358 ran 12's on street tires with stock gears and thats what he would do.

Sorry I didn't get the dates in the pics.. when the car number 76 is all one day car # 519 was the day after weather was cooler but more humidity on the second day.

Thanks for the input Jackie :nice: I'll try to shift at 5500 and see if it improves and I can keep consistant trap speeds and 1/4 mi I need to invest in a shift light even with stock gearing I tend to redline the 1-2 shift just cause it seems to go by too quick.

Cap, those traps really are inconsistant... try to use the same shift points. If you turn in bad times... adjust them a little, but keep track of what your best results were. I'm not familiar with the shift points on the SOHC 4.6... so ask someone else about that
