well its not much of an upgrade for the average stang owner but for my rusty rotors it is. the only question i have with these is that they are not zinc-plated therefore these will probably rust out like the ones i have now are. what do you guys thing?

If you are keeping the stock calipers I would at least get better pads like Hawk or EBC (I think??). That might make a small difference in braking probably mostly with brake fade. Other than that I would think It would be a cosmetic upgrade.

Not to hijack, but I'm looking to do just that: upgrade pads (mostly to reduce fade on track days). Any thoughts on Hawk vs. EBC?

I heard good things about EBC, I wasnt sure if I had the name right, too many things end with..BC. I heard their Green stuff pads are really good. Some type of organic or kevlar, I dont remember but they are supposed to be quiet and give off like no brake dust.

Go to www.speedconcepts.net and check out the 13' cobra brake upgrade. I think it's only 400 bucks for 13' rotors (your choice) pads, calipers and stainless steel lines. They made a huge improvement on my 01 gt. and are an easy bolt on. If you're interested, call for Ken and tell them Penn sent you. I have the bullitt rims and the brakes look great on them.

If you're looking for some bling, these rotors are what you want. If you care at all about the lifespan of your rotors, then forget about these.

What's a little rust, anyway?

Anyone have the cross drilled and slotted rotors from speedconcepts.com? Their kits look really nice but for a daily driver I wonder which kit would be best? Maybe just the slotted rotors?

Overall, slotted-only are usually the best bet as I understand it if you're going that route.

Cross-drilled rotors are okay for daily driving, but don't use them for any serious racing applications...you'll get cracking at the holes when they heat up.
