I want a forged engine

wondering how much and where the best place to get one would be...i was thinking about keith craft but he isnt that cheap and really doesnt specialize in modulars

i got mine from Keith Craft. the short block has been great so far, but their customer service was less than stellar.

i've heard bad things about DSS.

i've heard nothing but good things about VT Engines and T&J.

its cheaper to buy your rotating assembly and get the machine work done, rather than buying one already machined.

I've got a Modular Powerhouse (T&J) built motor in my car. Purrs like a kitty and has taken some major abuse without problems. I'd pm him for specifics on pricing as there are many options any time you buy a shortblock. Figure on spending around $3k or so.

yeah we had our 427 worked on by keith kraft and the customer service SUCKED!!! they lost our flywheel!!!!

they told me i was being "unreasonable" for wanting my shortblock 3 WEEKS after it was due. f'n moron.

if i just got a new rotating assembly i would have to have the engine balanced and everything.... i kind of want to stay naturally aspirated but a few shots of nitrous wouldnt be bad every now and then...what would be the best internal setup for this?
