Ford AU possibly exporting to the US.

Uh...read that article again, and use your good eyes this time. It says Ford is considering building a replacement for the Panther platform BASED ON the new AU Falcon platform. It says NOTHING about bringing over the current Falcon.

True, but that basically means a falcon with different body panels and a different badge. A "platform" (can and most likely does) includes the chassis, suspension, and motivation, ie; engine, trans and diff. And hell, I doubt ford are going to waste money and time developing new seats, air-con system, etc to fit to a platform they already have solutions to.

Still, I'm proud of "Ford AU possibly exporting to the US." because we're a small country compared to the US (1/8 the population approx.).

On a way off topic, to me, the abbreviations of AU and US give me a laugh as they show (to me anyway, in my own little wierd way) how Australians and Americans talk. US: say it and it sounds like an American saying "You a$$", which is something I'd expect to hear. AU: DEFINITELY sounds like an Aussie saying "AY YOU!" which is definitely something I've heard before.

The falson looks 10x better than the GTO. The ass-end isn't so thick and tall, and the front end looks much meaner. A Boss260 would be a sweet ass car...maybe they will bring it back as the new Torino, or Galaxy :D

Actually, I thought about a coupe version of the Falcon that could perhaps come over here to the US,call it the Torino, and sell it as an upscale coupe of sort (and maybe some red paint and white stripes for some Starsky & Hutch editions!). The Galaxy name would be sweet but unfortunetly it is the name of the minivan that Ford sells in europe.

Speaking of the Falcon

I think I may have caught a glimpse of it tonight in an Aussie' indy film called Danny Lounge-something or another... (cant remember full name.) Basically some guy lives a boring life and decides one day to go ahead and do something out of the ordinary (tie a bunch of helium balloons to a lounge chair) and floats over australia for a couple days... really nice flick.)

Dunno, thought I should mention that while I still remembered it... lol.
