Yeah I know I will probably never hear the end of this, but hey its my car I've paid my money for it let me do as I want with it. Does anyone have any installation pics of them installing neons on there car or does anyone have any suggestions on to where put the transformer box and such things like that. I have a 2000 gt thanks.

I have a set of neons under my stang (notice its not in my sig). Installation is pretty straight forward, screw them in with the hardware provided, and I also used zip ties to keep them in place. I have some pics of mine here...

Those are bad pics, but they are the only ones I have. I dont use my neons that much, only when parked, cause nobody wants extra attention from cops.

Here's a quick pic of mine. Just remember, if you bend the tubes, you break the tubes, they are not forgiving. www.streetglow.com

I only turn mine on for shows usually. Here in small town Illinois, hardly anyone has them, so its not ricer or nothing like that. My kids love them and in night parades the crowds like them, especially the green strobe lights in the headlights and turnsignals. Like I said, they are not on but for certain events.

About a century ago, it seems, I knew a guy with a Toyota 4 x 4 that had a fish aquarium in the rear of his truck bed. When he put the tailgate down there they were all swimmming around. So, everyone has there thing and thats what makes the world a pretty awesome thing to look at

heh ive seen a cavalier with a fishtank in the dash.. beats a dvd player ANY DAY

if you already got the neons its too late but i would STRONGLY suggest getting LEDS. They are as bright if not brighter, and MUCH MUCH more durable and ALOT less expenssive to replace if broken. A friend of mine crashed his car and ALL his LEDS still worked. if they had been neons all the tubes would have definately broken. just my 2 cents

Hey, ive got red underglow on my 2000 v6er. If im thinkin correctly, the transformer box is the little black box thing that the switch goes to, and then it goes to all the lights or something? Im gonna go take a pic of where i put mine before i removed it.

Ok, lookie here.

This may be different because you have a GT, but i doubt it. Anyways, pop your hood and look near the right-side hinge. Youll see these two holes. This is where i put my box when i used it.

But i took off the box, and wired every light directly up to the switch:

Yea, looks jank as hell, but it works! Hope this helps.
OH! and do not forget to use an inline fuse if you are using a switch. Put the fuse holder between the switch and the lights, cause if you dont have that fuse, you could blow every single neon. But if you ahve the fuse, youll blow the .50 cent fuse instead of your precios neons. Just a lil reminder :nice:

Go LED's for sure. You can actually get them with a dial that changes their color, and if your a savy coder, you can program a chip that will allow them to dance to music. They also can be installed in flexible tubes, last far longer, take less power, make less heat, and actually hold their brightness for the life of the LED.

I mounted mine right behind the drivers side front wheel on the frame rail.

I think it's been a bad idea though cause I replaced one cause it got water in it then I siliconed the heck out of the new one but then my rack went bad and the hoses started jumping around and knocked the hell out of the transformer and now I need another one!!!! :bang:
