Hey guys. I'm a college student and I was just wondering if there is other college students on this board, or if you know any college students, with an 03/04 Cobra and how they like it, and what the insurance rates are like with one? I'm thinking about getting one pretty soon and was just wondering what you think.

Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris.

Quick quote on AIS for a 22 year old single male, full covereage with $500 collision & comprehensive deductible...over $900 a month. Hehe...might want to rethink that Cobra.

23 year old and I pay $1,800 a year full coverage on my 1993. Just to give you and idea. I also have a perfect driving record with no tickets or accidents and a good student discount as well.

I just graduated college, but what I did with my 97 Cobra was register it under my dad's insurance as a rec vehicle with full coverage. It was only 360 bucks a year :D . On my own as a daily driver with full coverage was going to be 3600 a year. Now I have a 99 Explorer, 97 Cobra, Renter's Insurance, and Diamond Insurance (for the lady's ring) all for about 2000 a year. Not bad, eh? :flag:

Do yourself a favor and not make a huge investment like an 03/04 Cobra right now. Besides, its more fun to mod an older cobra!

heres what you do........ pay cash and get only liabilaty.....the only way it is going to work! I have a 97 cobra and I got my first ticket and geico want me to go from $900 for six months to $3000. **** That!!! I payed the remaining 4k on the car and went to liability and now pay $600 for the car and a ranger

That's insane. I'm a 22 male living right outside of a major city and it was about $450 a month for my 03. But the car is in my moms name for that reason.....it is about $225 a month.
