I have a friend who had advanced access to the new 2005 Mustang GT and let me tell you it was awsome. Ford did an excellent job on this new Mustang GT.
With me driving and two adult man in the car from a dead stop to red line each shift this car had some pony's and you can tell a difference between the 04 and new 05. They relocated the battery toward's the back of the engine not to the left front like the ones we currently have for better weight transfer if you enjoy cornering that is.
It is more beautiful in person then in any pictures the interior is so retro its cool. You actually sit lower in the stock seats then in the past if you were 6FT or taller you were likely to get a nose bleed (ha ha) with the 04 and older models a 6'3 inch man in the seat has lots of head room still in the new 05. The only thing that looked off was the wheels and of course the good ole ride height. But some bigger wheels and a 2" drop and there's nothing else you have to do to this car.
I have to say it was BLAST to drive and many people will not be disapointed with Ford's engineering this time around
