Looking to buy a 03/04 cobra soon.

Im looking into getting a 2003/2004 Cobra hopfully within a few weeks. I currently own a talon running a 12.07 @ 117. Im getting to the point that trying to lay down 600 hp to the wheels is becoming difficult. I have to run 27psi and an 80 shot to come close. Im looking for something that I can make 600whp with and keep it streetable with pump fuel (C-16 gets expesive to fill the tank) and I feel the cobra might be the car for me. Ive seen all types of quarter mile times listed for this car ranging from 12.9 @ 108 to 12.0 @ 115. Whats the real deal here? what are these things pulling for times stock? Ive seen the RWHP numbers and I do have to say they are impressive. Any info is appriciated.

If your pockets are deep you should be looking for way more than 600rwhp.

What power are you making at 27 psi and an 80 shot? If it is over 500 rwhp you should be well into the 10's assuming the Talon weighs a lot less than an 03/04 Cobra.

I make 503 rwhp SAE and 550 rwt on the stock Eaton with a 2.80 upper and a four pound lower, full exhaust with JBA's and 3.90 gears. My last pass was in the middle of a 100 degree day with a full tank of pump gas and it went 11.39@122. It should go 10's on a cool night.

A buddy of mine is similar in mods with LT's and a six pound lower. I do all his mods and I installed a dry kit on it a few days ago. He got his chip tuned for a street and a spray program. On the street program with no juice the car made 510 rwhp SAE and 570 rwt with a stock Eaton. Then we made a pull on the spray program without spray to check the A/F. It made 503 rwhp and torque was around 560. Then we hit it with a dry shot through a .046 jet just ahead of the TB. It made 570 rwhp SAE and 670 rwt. All pulls were made back to back. The .046 shot leaned it out about a half point. Plugs were gapped at .023 and are Densos. Before the spary, it ran 7.20 at Mooresville with a slipping clutch in the middle of a warm day. It also has a live axle.
