Would you do it??

Keep what ya got. You know what you have now.The Mach was not drivin by a little old lady on Sundays. You don't know what you are getting into.Plus your warranty is ahead 6000mi. I would take the conv. over the difference in HP. You can always upgrade your GT. If I did it over again..I'd take my GT conv. over a Mach or Cobra hardtop. I'm voting with the top down. Good luck whatever you do.

NO DEAL!!!

I went to look at the car last night and there was no comparrison. A mint vert for a good condition Mach. The car just wasn't in the best of shape considering it was an 04, had a few scratches two big ones on the front bumper. The car just wasn't as clean as my car inside or out. It drove really good but that alone wasn't enough to impress me enough to make the trade. Besides the tires looked like they had 30k miles rather than 9k, so it showed evidence that it had been driven hard. The Dealership never even took my car to apriase it, just seeing it and they were asking what they could do to make the trade. After I said I wasn't interested, they mentioned the Cobra, but I just can't make that kind of step up in payments and insurance having another vehicle I'm paying for as well.

Oh well, you never know until you try.

Nope

You would have missed the vert anyway.I trade cars with a friend for a week or so every now and then (89lx w/blown 351), The car is unbelievably fast, but when the sun's out, I miss dropping the top.Good call on keeping the GT :nice:

I must say it's nice to be able to drop the top and enjoy the sun.

Yeah for the right car, I can do without, this just wasn't the right car.

The retail on my Car

Another big 'yes' vote. The deal is likely worthwhile from the re-sale value alone. The seats, shaker, DOHC, etc. is just a bonus.

is about 100.00 bucks or so more than the Mach right now. Trade in value was also higher on my car when considering 'excellent' to only 'good' for the Mach. Either way, the conditions of the cars don't even compare!!!!

he already said he isn't getting it. The resale would not be as high since it shows signs of abuse.
Oh, well ... yeah ... screw the Mach 1. I thought this was a buddy of yours where you knew the car. If the condition isn't top notch for a 9k mile car, I would bail on that deal. Good call.
