I just confirmed with this guy over in Pensacola that he's selling me his set of 17" bullit rims for $300, then i'm gonna get some kumho ecsta supra 712's (245/45-17's is the correct size, right?) to go on 'em....total package being around $718.42 plus mounting the tires and balancing (expecting $40 or so for that). Does this seem like a good deal? And how much do y'all think I can get for my current 16" rims with the tires..probably 1/3 tread left on it i'd say. Just a rough estimate is all i'm looking for...

i dunno about how much u can get for the 16"s, im using mine for teh wintor weathor... i got my bullits for $350, used with less than an inch of curb rash on one, relatively minor in depth might i add, and all tires, they got me around for about a week, lol, they suked so much, didnt even match. the front were goodyear eagles an the rears were potenzas, but the rears were lower profile and very little tread left on them, so we replaced them with some Yokohama Avid H4s...
and of course since were in good with... ever company around here basically, (considering my dad put in, and services the HUNTER machines that they were using to do everything, lol) we got them wholesale, and of course balanced and put on for free, no more than 100 bux a piece... love having connections... and they put on little chrome end caps! w00t!

recalibrate the speedo... hmm... you shuld get it recalibrated no matter what tires u put on ure new rims (but the difference is so minute... ~1 mph prolly) i would imagine low profile tires would change that ever so slightly...

sounds good to me. I have those tires. I paid $200 for my 17 GT rims, and like $600 (can't remember) for the tires, balancing, warranty, blah blah

i bought my rims and tires off ebay...stock 99 GT rims but i deff love them. i paid 400 bucks (thats including shipping) and the tread wasnt that bad on them. i just had to buy new tires this year and i bought 4 brand new ones (goodyear) for 400 bucks on ebay. deff good deal considering that there 200 a piece at goodyear.

lol nice...my friend at work just offered me some michelin 235/35-17's with 5k on them for $50 each but he only has two. will the low profile make me need to get my speedo calibrated?

Max you can fit a 235/45 is on a 8" wheel let alone 235/35. Your pushing the safety envelope at that point. Do it right the 1st time and get 245/45. If cost is an issue, go with the el cheapo route like Falkens, Rikens, Hankooks, Federal, Ultra, etc...
