I just spoke to Dave York, one of the Sales Managers at Galpin Ford. He guessed that they will be priced about $1500 over their '04 counterparts. I also asked about potential dealer mark-up. He said that Galpin won't be selling their 05 Mustangs over msrp but won't be selling them under either.
He then asked if I would like to order one. I told him that I wanted to wait until I was in a better negotiating position when supply and demand were more in my favor. He told me to call around the first of next year when he would have a better idea of when the negotiating process would favor the buyer over the seller. His guess at this time was around spring/summer of next year.

if you've got the time/patience, the best time to buy a 2005 stang would be when they release the 2006 special editions. Then all the guys like myself will be selling our gt's to get the SE's. Patience is money, some have more of one than the other. good luck, and dont let yourself get sucked into paying more than you have to for anything. :nice:

You could always order one outside L.A. and get it cheaper, sooner.

Buy it in Northern California, and break it in with 300+ miles of 60-90 blasts down Hwy 5.

;)

(my price through a fleet/internet/CSAA sales manager is "not to exceed 2% over invoice" and others are getting better deals, or so they say).
