Will this wheel have enough clearance?

So after much debate I found a set of rims I like. I'm swapping for looks and to fit my Baer Disks I'm about to order. Problem is the shop that carries them is too far away. They offered to ship at a very reasonable cost. The rims are 17x8 with 4.25in of backspacing. These are special order, so once I buy, no returns. Wanted to know if anyone is using the same size rims on a 1968? Thanks.

So I was doing a little more research on the subject and found out that the "new" unique performance cobra GT500E cars use a 17x8 rim (4.25in backspacing) with Baer brakes and what is essentially a TCP coilover front suspension. If they're getting those to fit, is the coilover system providing more clearance or is there something I'm not getting?

the E cars also have fender flaires. I dont know if thats the reason for the backspacing but I figured it was worth noting.
