Hey guys... I've been hearing a lot of people saying that they get free oil changes and such but then others say they don't get free oil changes. What kind of benefits does SVT offer like clubs, oil changes, meets ect? All in all the best benefit of getting an 03/04 Cobra is kickin everyone's you know what in a race! :nice:

u can join the SVTOA :)
the oil change thing depends on the dealership from what i understand.
the good things about owning an 03/04 cobra is that they are supercharged and the block has tons of potential. i dont know the full details about the block but if i understand right, it was built for superchargers. i have read about 1 or 2 guys swap out their supercharger and install a turbo instead and top out like near 500-600hp.

Yep the oil-change thing is just dependant on the dealership. I wouldnt let them change my oil anyways, as they all use cheap-as-garbage bulk oil, not the good synth stuff. Also, aside from the obviously bawls-to-the-wall power of the terminators, you also get a FANTASTIC set of seats! Compared to my 99, its like sitting on a park bench versus a la-z-boy. 100 times better interior! I can't stress enough how much more comfortable and supportive the seat and interior are in the newer cars.

SVTOA also has many group perks and benefits, but I don't know of them as I'm not an official member, yet! :)

Yup! That monster has run 8.99@154 now.

This is a shot of their turbo'd '03!!!!

Benefits? What Benefits? I keep spending more money on gas, tires keep melting away, the blower whine scares the neighbors dog, my neck gets sore from getting snapped back all the time, I cant stop buying more mods, and I cant get the stupid grin off my face every time I sit in it... Who the hell would want that?

Free car washes when you get Ford service, according to the warranty :bang: .

Stares of envy from onlookers :nonono: .

Change the oil yourself, that way:
1 - you really know what kind of oil (Mobil 1)
2 - you really know how much they put in (too much is bad)
3 - everything gets done right (screwed down tight)

...most Ford dealers suck at service...and when they service the car, Bozo the Clown gets to drive it around the Dealer's lot :( .

They're supposed to use motorcraft oil which is actually pretty decent oil. OFcourse it won't beat something like mobil-1.
Only time I had them touch my car was when I had a free oil change when I bought the car. Plus I trust the dealer enough to do it. Will I do it again ? no, because it's not free anymore (was a one time thing) and I don't trust the dealers enough. They probably don't have top mechanics do oil changes, some punk-ass might be doing it, not putting enough oil in, not tightening the plus enough, overtighten it, put the filter on wrong , etc etc.. plus I Don't want them to drive the car.
So I do it myself, always have on my previous mustang. it's so easy, why not ?
