Possible fuel pressure problem

I just installed some new FMS 42lb injectors and a BBK pressure regulator. The car cranks fine and seems to idle fine but when I turn the car off the fuel pressure bleeds to 0 within a few seconds. With my 24's and a Crane regulator it would hold around 30psi for hours. I read in an old post where this was common with BBK and Aeromotive regulators but just wanted to be sure. More than likely I will switch back to the Crane regulator but if this is normal it would be nice not to have to troubleshoot any further. I definitely don't want anything to be wrong with the injectors. I doubt I could return them since I bought them over a year ago and just now getting around to installing them.

Today i just put in 42lb injectors on my car, already had an aeromotive fpr and 255lph hp pump. Pressure immediately drops to 30psi but seems to hold there however my computer or ignition switch is messed up because my pump sometimes doesnt turn off. I'll update tomorow when i get to mess with it more, so far the only problem i noticed was surging at idle.

if you carefully crimp the return line, you can try to determine if it is the FPR or the check valve in the pump that is bleeding off pressure. dont damage the return line.

but if it does not adversely affect the car's performance and you have good pressure while running, i might not sweat it too much. when priming, the pump should get pressure right back up to speed within a second or two.

good luck.

oh yeah, im not sure if it was the direction you were heading, but if you think you have leaking injectors, JR has a nice write up on a test you can do, using a compressor and soapy water
