I have a problem. I really want to buy an 05 Stang but I have come across a white 04 Mach 1 on the dealer lot and I am also X-plan. As a 5 time fox body Mustang owner (which I still have a 93 Cobra w/ 10,000 miles nesting in my garage) I can't stop thinking on what to do. Ford is now offering 2,500 back on 04's. But I am still going to pay 27,000 for the Mach. I was planning on waiting for the convertible 05. I always loved the fact about the limited status of any Mustang. I also never really liked the 94-present stang's. But this Mach 1 I really dig! I really need some feedback from some fellow stangers. Can you guys please give me some feedback. Just to give you some quick info. I have purchased 5 new cars in the past year and am known as a sick car dude who as soon as he buys a car will sell it within a year. My personal record is now 4 months. One of the cars I have traded in was an 04 WRX. Which was a great car, but I need a new STANG!!! HELP!!!!

We've been through this many times.
No matter how you try to spin it, the Mach 1 is still a 1978 Fairmont with lipstick.

The 2005 is the first ALL new Mustang from the ground up ever. If you buy the Mach 1, within a year you'll be kicking yourself.

After just seeing a red Mach pass my window, get the Mach.

It is the best looking mustang since 1970, the 05 included.

And besides, the 05 WILL not be faster. It will handle better, but it's a Mach 1.

When the new wears off the 05, you'll still have a Mach 1, they'll just have another GT.

I don't know how you could get the mach for $24 when the invoice is more, but the X-plan price is $27 then tax, tags, etc then minus $2500 so the tax and tags are a wash. I know I could get it cheaper but I'd rather spend the extra money and get my own.

I picked up my brand new mach in March for $24500. X-plan got it down to $27700 then $3000 in rebates and the dealer gave me $200 off to get below another dealer. And no tax in NH so it was out the door :)

well i paid 23562 out the door ttt ... in dec 03 no money down and no trade in. They were offering 3500 back ath the time. I know they are offering 2500 cash back and an extra 1000 from fmc if you take their financing. Good luck you see what I chose.

O.K. everyone is saying the TMV is low. Edmunds has the TMV at 25,646. And that's minus the $2,500. $28,146 minus 2,500 = 25,646 but I wish they did it that way. X-plan is $27,095 then the tax, title, tags which is about $2,500 then they minus the $2,500 off the bottom which still makes it $27,000. So should I not go into the dealer with hopes of buying through X-plan?
