When stopped, if I press down on the brake pedal pretty hard, the RPM's drop up to 200. I also hear a slight whine, and I hear a groan/squeal. The pads are fine, about 70% and the brakes haven't been touched since I bought the car in May. What could it be?

The slight drop in RPMs is normal, it's just the electrical system (alternator, etc) adjusting to the voltage.

The same thing happens when the A/C condenser kicks on, there will be that little "surge" before the RPMs come back up if you turn on the A/C while completely stopped.

Where is the groan/squeal sound exactly coming from? Have you localized it to the both sides of the front brakes?

Have someone push down on the brake pedal while you listen closer for noises - that may help out.

i hear it mainly on the left front brake. and the reason i asked about the dip in RPM is because i had never noticed it before, either with my cobra or with my GT i used to have.
