Its time to re-shoe the 'Stang and I've been beating myself up trying to find a decent 255/50/16 to mount. :bang: Trying to balance price with performance as always. My choices are very limited with the 255 size though. Is it worth the extra width on the tire, both in the looks and performance dept., or should I just drop back down to the 245 like everyone else with Pony rims?
Thanks, Matt

I run the 245/50/16's BF Goodrich (I think...lol) G-Force KDWS tires and they run just over 100 bucks a piece...look great and I run them all around on my car...they let me pull 2.0 60fts with just gears, bolt-ons, and full exhaust...they grab well...they don't spin (on my car atleast) unless you want them to...you can lay down on it in first from a roll and it will bite and go...but after the newly added power they spin like crazy...

Don't go with 255's...go with the 245's...

Good Luck with your choice...

On stock rims go with the 245/50's. I had the KDWS tires that 5spd GT talked about in 245/50 on my stock rims when I had them and I'll second what he said. Great tire for the money. Anything more on a stock rim is going to bulge out on the side wall. I don't see anything higher to give you an advantage.
