Whether you believe me or not I don't give a $hit. My buddy was the one who told me about the Mustangs at Herb Chambers Ford. I was Not the one who made this up. If you have a problem with this call up Herb Chambers Ford. I don't have to prove $hit to you. End of story.

Once again STFU already!

If what you say is true you posted something which you heard from a friend, but provide no details that the information was second hand. You posted this information which was rumor but in a maner imply it as fact. If you post something as fact you must be willing to provide proof. Spreading rumors does noone any good.

klous,
I fully understand what you are saying. You are right. Please understand that I was NOT trying to spread any rumors in here. I was just repeating what I heard from my buddy. My statement was not intended to start a rumor. That's where I am being misunderstood by most people in here. I just wanted to share what I heard. That's all. What I said was not intended to start a rumor. I hope that this clears things up. Thanks.

I also own a Mustang GT and I have been following the whole 2005 Mustang news. I am impressed by the new design, but I think that Ford should have added 25 more horsepower to the new GT. The Pontiac Firehawk has 325 to 350 "stock" horsepower. Ford could of done the same thing here. And also, Ford should of added a hood scoop and some blown side scoops to make the new 2005 Mustang look a little better. It looks too generic and too bland "without" the scoops. I don't like a Mustang without any scoops. It looks too bland and unaggressive.

Once again, talk to your friend >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> :bs: and :bs:

What the hell is a "blown" scoop anyways??? Is it because the air is "blow'n" in there?? LOL!!! I can see the email to Ford now:

Dear Ford,

You idiots, you screwed up again. No scoops on the hood? No "blown" scoops on the side? How could you not have scoops? Scoops are the best, and I love scoops. When I get old and retire, I'm gonna install lots of scoops on my Winnebego. I bought a dog to guard my house, but he didn't look very mean, so I strapped some scoops to him. All better now. When I was a kid and my mom let me borrow her car, I made magnetic scoops so that once I got around the block, I jumped out and stuck the scoops all over the car so I would look AGGRESSIVE and not so bland. Please pull your heads out of your a$$es and put scoops all over the Mustang, and if it's not too much trouble, make them BLOWN scoops, as I invented this type of scoop myself. Blown scoops are much better than scoops that are not blown. What the Mustang needs is a big scoop full of scoops, with scoops inside them. Trust me, the buying public will "scoop" them up. Ha ha, I'm very funny. Hey, here's a scoop; put scoops on the Mustang!! I kill myself... In conclusion, I will not be satisfied, and I will not think the Mustang looks aggressive and un-bland enough, until you put so many scoops on it that it that it can't go over 30mph, due to aerodynamic drag, like it's pulling a parachute....

BLA<BLA,BLA.,BLA........how bout back to the thread.....benefits of the 24 valve over the 32 valve?

SUGGESTION

start a stickie thread somewhere where childs and the likes can have their flame wars there instead of threads where people are looking for info!!!!!
damn keyboard warriors......LOL

benefits of the 24 valve??? why not just stick to the 32

We've been over this before, but to summarize:

Benefits of the SOHC 3V heads (24V) over the DOHC 4V heads (32V)

1. Significantly lighter approx 60 lb total weight savings for the complete engine.
2. Lower cost to manufacture (GT starts under $25K)
3. Physically, significantly smaller than the 4V engine, even smaller than the 2V.
4. Less moving parts, should be more reliable.
5. Almost the same HP & Torque as the 4V Mach 1 engine, but the 3V GT runs on regular 87 otane gas.

There are only 2 benefits to using DOHC 32V heads:
1. VVT can be implemented that independently adjusts both the intake and exhuast cam phasing.
But this is a non issue right now as the DOHC engine does not have VVT of any kind.
2. 4V heads have about 5% higher intake air flow.

Bottom line is that the 3V heads are a better price / performance trade off.

Oh, and the 2003-'04 Mach 1 does have 4 valves per cylinder = 32V.:nice:

:rlaugh: Throughout that whole post I was laughing out loud... :nice:

Hey PerformanceRed, or should I say PerformanceRic3r...should I put scoops on my Chevy truck??? That will make it look really unique and aggressive right??? Thanks...

You're really taking a beating there huh PerformanceRed ? Anyway, i think i may be onto the scoop thing. Perhaps Ford is saving all that "body" trim for the specialty cars like the Cobra, Boss, Shelby, etc. You know Steeda, Saleen, Roush, etc will fill the void. Instead of complaining about the regular production Mustangs, why don't you wait for one of those? I'm sure they'll have the eye appeal you're looking for.

What's wrong with having scoops? Scoops make the Mustang look more like a Mustang. That's all. Without scoops, it looks like a wimpy generic car.

Here's the thing. I understand you want scoops. I'm not sure exactly what qualifies as a "blown scoop". But there are quite a few mustangs out there. That look plenty aggressive without scoops.

As for the troll thing. Well since most of the posts you have started seem to be negative. And I have not seen much complimentary. You tend to set yourself up to look like a troll. Think of it like this. Yes you want scoops. Everyone knows you want scoops. And yet you don't stop posting about wanting scoops. Much like mball can't stop posting about the EVO. Or SRT4life couldn't stop posting about the neon. You also think it need more power. Then in this thread you refer to a car. That is the perfect example of HP not selling cars. We are getting an impressive jump in hp from the last model year. And instead of sounding even remote appreciative of thaat increase. You complain because it wasn't more.

Bottom line is that Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you want more scoops, the aftermarket will be flooding the market with them. The SE's and SVT versions will likely have some variation on the theme you're looking for. It's rather unrealistic and futile to insist upon, or lament the fact, that the GT model isn't the end-all be-all of what YOU dream about in a Mustang. The GT has always been the broad-appeal, mass-market performance Mustang. NOT the no-compromise ultimate performance King Kong Bundy of Mustangs. If it's not fast enough, not aggressive enough, not fat-tired enough for you, well guess what, you're in the market for a different car, like the Cobra or Boss or Mach. OR, you've simply got to look at the GT as a great starting point, and pull out your box of Craftsman tools and do what Mustangers have been doing for 40 years: modify and make it your own.
