It's actually very similar to the Lime Gold and "Ivy Gold" colors that were original on Mustangs in the 60's, and EXTREMELY popular. In 1967, Lime Gold was the most popular color by a very wide margin, 73,759 total units. Candyapple Red was 2nd at 52,157, and White 3rd at 42,903. I've seen the green in person, and it's very cool looking, very nostalgic. Some people hate green, so there you go, there's not much getting around that. You like it or you don't. But I'll bet that color is one of the more common ones you see people driving around in for '05, call me crazy if you want.

I'm starting to like that color--I think it would look pretty good with the black interior. Since I'll be buying used the only colors I'll flat-out avoid are the reds (too racer boy) and white (makes the car look like a big Tic Tac or molar). I'm still bummed there's no Highland Green. :(

I've only seen the lime on V6's, is it a GT option too?

The Mustang and Mustang GT share the exact same color pool. So, yes, you can get a GT in Legend Lime...

... but I think both Legend Lime and Windveil Blue look so much better on the V6. Putting either color on a GT would be too much like trying to put them on a BOSS or Mach 1... both of which are best-looking in loud, obnoxious colors, with black contrast, of course...

Colors will always look different under fluorescent light than outdoors....

Plus you have the awkward color on the assembly line floor benith it which doesnt help it in that light.

Even in these pics the color is slightly different. I don think it looks bad at all, I really like it.

Remember now, Retro is Fords "new" thing.

Ford wanted retro, so they went with a color similar to a color that was available in 1967.

If you don't like it, then someone else who was alive in 1967 that likes the color will have a NEW Mustang in that color. You really don't have to complain.

I saw an '05 in Legend Lime with Bullitts at the Dream Cruise this year. Sure, it's kinda like metallic barf, but it looked sweet in my opinion. Definately retro.

BTW, is Ford actually going to offer Bullitts on the '05's, because I saw several 05's on Bullitts at the Dream Cruise. GT's, of course.
