Best exhaust set up for our cars?

My first weld ins were Dynomax Bullets...the sound was very nice and deep below 3000rpms and it just screamed at WOT. These mufflers were cheap as crap and of great quality (34 bucks a piece)

Then changed to Spintech ProStreets and almost kissed my muffler shop owner when he started it up...everything I loved about the Bullets and then more...loud, hollow and lopey at idle, bubbly at 2000 to 3000rpms and then "watch the f**ck out for cops" at WOT, heck probably just one decibel quieter than SLP when you get on it hard. These mufflers not only flow just like the straight thrus, they sound sorta chambered, best of both worlds.

Love the sound of my borla kit with the catted H pipe. Little drone at 2000 (nice because you know you have an exhaust) and wow at wide open! Great quality with it being entirely stainless!

I have a Magnaflow o/r X pipe w/ welded in 40 series. Sounds pretty good, a little raspy at around 3500 but sounds awesome at WOT. Buddy of mine just got some Dynomax race bullets w/ a basani X and OMG I think I am going to buy those this week, Car Just screams and Is much deeper than my flows. I vote for a X pipe w/ straight threw mufflers!

Well after listening to sound clips for hours and going over everyone's opinions and comments I'm going with SLP Loudmouth because I really love the sound. Just a couple of questions. I'm assuming that this catback (Product #M31002) is 2.50" but my stock h-pipe is 2.25" will that cause problems as far as fitting? Would an exhaust shop or even a Meineke be able to install it without any problems? Thanks again you guys have been really helpful :nice:

I'm not wanting to come across as negative, but the reason I went with Magnaflows is becase I wanted an agressive, but not offensive sound. I have heard the SLP, and in my opinion it sounds very mean. Too mean for my car before the Kenne Bell. If your car is going to sound bad a$$, then it better perform like it. I thought the SLP would make it sound mean, but be like a dog that's all bark and no bite.

I've had my exhaust set up since May of 2003 and have never had a negative comment about it.

LOL.... not trying to be negative either, but that's kind of dumb. If you like the sound of a cat-back, your going to go with a different one just b/c your car doesn't have the power you want it to???? ... So then you end up not having the power AND not having the sound you want...
