dynomax bullet mufflers

iight man... i was in the same situation as you before, if u look far enough back you will find my thread about it, the dynomax bullet race mufflers were not as loud as I thought they would be.. louder then my 3 chambers, but not loud loud, they have a unique sound to em tho, GET SPINTECH PROSTREETS, trade those mufflers for some prostreets, or sell them and pay the difference

I had em on my 5.0,,with tail pipes and without!! With the tailpipes it was very raspy, without the tailpipes it sounded like a school bus :notnice: It didnt sound like a 5.0 But thats with a stock cam,Ive heard them with a cam,and they sound totally awsome :nice: But when doing highway speeds it sounds like a stock car :nice: And if your motor is stock, you will lose a little bit of bottom end torque. These motors (when stock) need a certain amount of back pressure!! If its too quiet, look into getting a good cat back exhaust.Bassani,,mac,,Borla,,loud mouth,,Flow master,,magna flow,,,,ect...

That's my sound clip. Stock headers, O/R H pipe, Ecam, Bullet's with tails.

It's ok, isn't BAD. It's not loud at all until you step on it. 5th gear is perfect, not to loud and doesn't drone. I would go Spintech's next time simply because I would like to try something different.

That clip doesn't work anymore....anyone happen to save it?

Hey I've had both the Bullets and the Prostreets and I would say for loud get the Prostreets. I love the Bullets but the Prostreets are better...plus with all 4 cats and the Prostreets people can hear me a long block away if I'm above 2500 rpms.

I just had my Bullets installed today. I had the shop do custom side exit piping with chrome tips. With my off-road x-pipe it sounds very, very mean. If Satan drove a Mustang I think it would sound like mine. I've also got 45 more cubes and a bigger cam than most people though. General rule I think is h-pipe, get chambered mufflers, x-pipe, get straight through style mufflers.

I was thinking about doing this...which off road x do u have? Either that or off road H with Spin tech prostreets...but i wanna hear the bullets first.

Sound clips are kind of deceiving though because of the variations in audio pick-ups, etc. Some people take clips in their garage where the sound echos and then it sounds totally different outside. I would base your decision on what you hear in person.

Should i say video clips  I agree with you. You cant be for sure on just clips alone....but its a good way rather than nothing if you cant hear it in person. Regardless, i hate the rumor of x with straight through muffs and h with chambered....

Have you heard a Dr.Gas with flows? Sounds pretty good. Even between x pipes do they sound different. Spintechs aren't really a chambered muff anyway. And bullets...they are straight throughs and i know plenty of guys running straight through muffs with h-pipes. What started the whole x with straight through and h with chamber anyway?

So, with that way of thinking........I guess in your opinion the prochamber shouldn't be paired up with anything because it doesn't have a muffler to match up with since its not a h pipe but its not an x pipe either. LOL Just bustin your balls
