Finished my swap last night only took about 4 hours without the pedals which i did like 2 weeks ago. My car feels like a whole new animal and I just cant wait to get it to the track. What kind of break in period should i have on a new clutch and a rebuilt T-5? hopefully not too long, i hafta get this thing to the track before the season is over and better my 14.9!

try to give it a few hundred miles...i did a clutch and drove to the track the next day....smoked the lcutch that day at the track. did you use an adjustable cable?? if not you should.
and you should SMOKE your old et ez.
my old aod went 14.40's w/ 3.73 , cobra intake, low gear set, and sportsman pro's.

slowest i ever went in a t5 car was 14.30's.....bone stock w/ 2.73's and street tires.

my notch went 13.80's w/ 4.10 and et streets....all the rest stock.

good luck on your et....try to go 500 miles if you can

Congrats, there's nothing like rippin through the gears. So for future reference to our loyal readers :flag: , could you give a little insight on the project, any tips or anything you'd do different???
Well, it's really rather simple believe it or not. If your working on the ground with the car supported by jackstands, use a floorjack and a piece of wood on top to lower the AOD and to raise the T-5. I'm sore from benching the T-5 while a friend lined it up!! If you dont have the wiring for the park (neutral) safety switch just splice them together and butt connect it, but remember, no clutch to start, so warn anyone who will drive your car. Other then that, it's really straight forward!
