i got a 89 LX and when i remove the hazard switch the wires are behind it unplugged. they are sunken to far back for me to plug them back in. i pulled at them and got under the dash trying to free up some slack but no luck. any spot that can easily give me slack or any ideas?

my look like that except they are hazard wires on right side of steering wheel and are in perfect condition. they are not however hanging over they are way back in the hole. i can't plug them into hazard switch. they wont come out. i have tried to take apart plastic around that area including spedometer but doesn't do anything. i can't figure out where wires come from/go. any ideas?

ok, the picture shows the headlight plug. your saying you need to get more length on your hazard switch plug right?

are there any signs of splicing?

if not i would say to pull the dash bezel off and see where you get. the wires could be pinched where the instrument bezel is bolted in. once you get that off you will have more space to poke around. there should be a little more than just enought you plug the wires in, if the plug has not been tampered with.

good luck

Ok take out the speedometer and the plastic trrim around it. Your gonna have to take out the whole cluster if it fell that far back. You should be able to get at it that way. IF not try from underneath and run it back up to there its not that hard the same thing happened to me once. After you get that go to www.50resto.com and buy the fix for you headlight/foglight switch before you car catches on fire. Im sure you can get the one for the hazards there also. Thats the only way you can get those wires out with out taking the dash out..
