Me and my bud both got our mustangs on the same day (Yesterday), both 03 v6's, he doesn't have a computer, and I'm curious so I'm going to post for him. He put a burned CD in his CD player, and it just said "error" (didn't surprise me, none of my families cars newer than 01's will play burned cd's), but, it wont' give him his CD back, pressing eject just says "NO CD", any ideas on how to make it eject the burned cd since it says it doesn't have a CD?
Thanks

my brother had this problem on his 94' V6... because he put a bran spankin new player in it, we found the reason to be the silly covers he used, so those are a no go. as for just not reading and eating the delicious delicasies without the covers, i dont know... hopefully when u pop it out you dont find it to be like "Backstreet Boys" or something... lol

okay well i'm presuming this is the mach 460 6 disc changer? If you look in the door, its probably open, you will see it there. get a micro screw driver and pu**** back in and try to get it to load again, wait for the interior to cool down then try and eject again. if it jams again put that screwdriver on the top of the cd and press down . the mach 460 headunits warp when its too hot. will be replaced under warranty.

You can also press another cd on top of that one in there and it should slide out. but you have to push it back in first, because its right there is no cd in the loading mechanism or the carrier. its jammed in the slot.

Just thought I'd throw in something FYI..the stock CD unit WILL play burned CD's...I played plenty in my stock player (single disc) before I replaced it. As for how to get the disc out, I think Chris is telling you the best way personally. Just be careful not to break anything.

still do what i mentioned it may be in that one also. take another cd push it in there and then press eject agin and put that other cd on top of the other one holding it down and it should slide out. you burned it as an mp3 cd probably, therefore no it wont read it.

hm

I conveyed you guys suggestions to my friend and even tried to help him do some - first, you can't see anything cause the little dust(i guess) covers, but it feels like the cd is directly in line with the slot, you can't push 'above' it, you also can't fit another cd in, it runs straight into the cd already in the slot and can't be finagled around either side of it, top of bottom - any ideas besides just taking his chances taking it to a stealership?

All you have to do to get the cd player to try and get it out is to unplug the wiring to the cd player that supplies the power. When you reconnect it the cd should come out. When I was puting in my amp with the stock cd player, I had left a cd in it and as soon as i reconneted the power it came right out. And it should play burned cds if they are finalized.

my old car would hold Cds in the stock player every now and then, mind you this was a Pontiac, still a good car though, ---anyway! Get a pair of twesers, and try to get hold of the edge of the Cd and pull it out, after that i would take the car back to the dealership, and tell them to fix or take the damn car back. They want your business, so they will fix it,tell them up front you just got the car, and you are not paying for a new Cd player! :nonono:

Good luck :nice:
