04 GT and 03 Cobra hood...

Why wouldnt it?Its the same body.Not sure why you would want to and not sure if it weighs more or less (knowing SVT..probably more) but the only reason I could see is less aerodynamic drag.Hmmm after you think about it its a pretty good reason LOL.

there would be a hole between the front bumper and the hood... other than that... you have to modify your latch a little i think and it'll fit

I'm putting it on for two reasons. One I think it looks better than the stock GT hood which everyone one their mother has. Second, it is has functional hood scoops I believe...and for the price I'm getting it, I don't think I can go wrong. Weight wise it should be the same...but I could be wrong.

I agree. the '03 Cobra hoods look bad @$$. I never did like the fake ducting on the later SN95’s. But although the reverse hood scoops are functional, they're not so in the way that you would think. They do nothing for the car as far as a "ramming" effect, but more to vent hot under hood air from the engine compartment. Regardless, I'd do the same thing if I owned a '99-up Stang.

Haven't hear of any '03-‘04 Cobra's coming in with electrical problems, due to a wet engine bay, so the vent's must be screened off, or water must be channelled away some how.

You got it. The only that is better is going shaker, which is a much more costly endeavor.

Very true. The front edge of the Cobra hood is shaped slightly differently than a V6 or GT hood. The Cobra front bumper cover has a corresponding shape.

If one want to use the Cobra hood, one really needs to use the Cobra front bumper cover too, or as mentioned, live with the miss-match and resulting "hole".

The Saleen hood is similar to the Cobra hood but it will fit our GT bumpers. This is not a very good picture of it but I will try to find a better one.

I agree...I love the shaker hoods, but for 320 shipped to my door already painted my color with no scratches or blems at all, I'd be an idiot to pass this up. I need to keep my eye out for a Cobra front....if anyone finds one at a decent price, hook me up

To use a '03/'04 Cobra hood on a GT,all you need to do is drill two new holes behind the factory holes were the GT's facia mounts on the headlight/bumper cover bezel(the fiberglass support),right at the top.You can't miss them.The top off the facia is held in place with two plastic type push in plugs that look like screws.Bring them closer to the rad support to line up with the Cobra hood.
I've seen this done,and looks sweet.Just take your time,and don't rush it.You would only have one shot,unless you refiberglass the holes over .All depends on how picky you are with your car,that itself shows the workmanship in detail.
I've also seen the '03/'04 Cobra facia on a GT with stock GT hood,lined up perfect,but that is another story .

Somebody here or on another site actually did a VERY SLIGHT modification and the hood fits perfectly on a GT bumper cover. I'll see if I can find the post.

That is what was explained to me when i asked the question,when i saw it.
The two hoods are noticably different at the front edge of the hood.That is why i asked on how he lined it up so smoothly. Otherwise the part of the facia were it diveds the grille,and headlights will pretrude out a bit,and not line up with the hood.
