I just recently bought a 96 gt completely stock and i wanted to know what upgrade would give me the most power with the least amount of money and what other upgrades would be a smart choice. and is there anything i can do to improve horsepower and torque without lowering mpg. what products are out there to help raise mpg

thanks, jon

Steeda Timing Adjuster, Cold-air intake, and Underdrive pulleys. Look in ebay for some of these parts or in the classifieds. These are really inexpensive mods that can easily be done. need more help? message me back

oh yeah, You can also put in some 3:73 or 4:10 gears for more pull. And dont over look the off road h-pipe or x-pipe with a catback. these are good bang for the buck parts. :D :D :D :nice:

Also do a short throw shifter as !SOON! as you can. Very good mod.. :nice:

The very first thing I would do is a short thorw shifter. his will help save you 1000 dollars on a trans. rebuild. next do long tubes,x-pipe and magnaflow mufflers if you are lookin to get the most performance out of it. after you do the exhaust put a drop in k&n af and PI cams and PI intake. the cams and the intake are the best bang for the buck. for 200 you can pick up roughly 30 rwhp nothing but a power adder will give you those type of gains. If you want 50 rwhp then go with a PI headswap.

I have a steeda tri-ax. The best shifter to go with is either a tri-ax or a pro-5.0. the b&m feels a little bit flimsier than the other 2. The heads swap isn't that bad but if you have never done it then it is going to take quite a while. if you are going to do it witout getting a chip then you need to get a fuel pressure regulator so that you can bump the fp up because most of the times the car will be lean. There are plenty of writeups on how to do it. go to modulardepot.com and they have write ups. total it is about a $1000 for the headswap.
