4.30s, 31-spline Diff & Axles, & Subframes are done

I believe it, if hes slipping/feathering the clutch to get it up in the powerband.

My fathers S281SC ( only making 300rwp) can spin the shi* outa 2, and some of 3rd, by just cruising around 2000-2500rpm and then slip the clutch, while nailing the throttle. This isnt at 70, but maybe 40-60mph. Thats with 327 gears (and an Eaton blower, lol)

OK let me get this straight here, you can be just CRUZING down the highway in 5th @ 70MPH (not KPH cuz that would make a difference LOL) and then push in the clutch shift into 3rd let out of the clutch and HOLD 70MPH while in 3rd gear, then without doing anything else just stomp the gas and your car will start spinning????That way there is NO missunderstanding.BTW are you ABSOLUTLY sure you set your speed cal correctly, because that could be the problem right there.
It's not as easy as that, & it's more hit or miss & likely mostly dependant on surface conditions though dry. If I'm running through the gears fairly mildly & slam it into 3rd & hit the gas if things are just right it'll start to go sideways. Is this so hard to grasp? Are these type of things unheard of nowadays or what? It's not like I went out & purposely did this so I could come on here, make a claim, & get flamed. I don't do it ever, on purpose cuz I ain't trying to die. It scared the crap out of me when it happened the 1st time, 1 day after my gear install.

I don't doubt that you can spin them shifting from 2nd to 3rd, I think we were all thinking you said you could spin them just stomping on it in third. There is a huge difference in a car that spins shifting into third or one that can just spin stepping on it at 70.

Either way I hear what your saying about the 4.30's, it's the best mod I have done to my car yet... :nice:

Certainly MAC[h]Z, w/ a car that's possibly quicker than mine you can't say that this has never happened to you. Maybe I wrote the startup thread incorrectly. I should've said that 'I can go sideways @ 70 in 3rd if I don't want to & it's nothing to play w/.' My car is not powerful enough for me to just punch it @ 70 in 3rd & make her go sideways. It's more like a under extreme acceleration type deal where on occasion if things are correct she'll do it. But like I said, I don't go out trying to get this to occur & I drive it a little safer now. I ain't trying to wrech either so I doubt this will ever get caught on tape. Truthfully, when this happened a couple Saturdays ago I was under WOT going downhill on an on-ramp to the highway. It's a curved on-ramp, probably about 40 degrees. So the car had a somewhat sideway motion to it already so when I punched it, it immediately began going sideways @ 70 in 3rd. Had I've been going uphill or on a totally straight road, likely this event would not've occurred. But I found the fact that it happened at all a little worth mentioning. Next time I'll just keep it to my buds. I ain't got no reason to lie about stuff. If I wanted to start a fight, I woulda went to SRT4forums.com.

Good point...either way man I'm just happy you're happy with your ride...and yeah I spun out of control a few months ago doing some dumb s**t on a curved/inclined freeway onramp and I saw my life flash on by so I know what you mean about being scared out your wits by losing control.
