I'm looking for a set of springs for a 02 GT conv. I've read alot about people liking the steeda springs but I found the ford racing springs with the same spring rate. I think they are the "c" springs and are $100 less than the steedas. They lower the car the same amount so shouldn't they ride the same as the steedas given they have the same spring rates. Any info on these if you have used them would be great. I dont want to slam the car maybe 1.25" to 1.5" lower would be nice with a good ride. Also are the conv. heavier in the rear or are they about the same as the coupes and would I need a stiffer spring to go back there if so.

I have an 02 vert also and have been researching as well.

the Ford "G" springs are "convertible only" but have lower spring rates than the "C" springs. I do not understand why.

The rear of the vert is heavier and needs more spring or a taller one from what I can see, but I would like the back to be lower to take out the raked look towards the front anyway.

I think I am going to go with the Bullitt springs, struts and shocks and live with where it ends up. Cost is the best with this deal from what I have seen and researched.

I do not want anything more than 1" of lowering so this will fit the bill I think.
