WHEN TRANSMISSON OIL CHANGE???

hey its cool, we all gotta start sometime. the Mercon V is a synthetic blend fluid. people use synthetic in manual transmissions because it lower the friction inside and can allow more power to get transferred to the driveshaft. note were talking like 1-2hp at the most i would say. i was reading about the CTS-V that races in the SCCA speed series, and they use a t-56 transmission with an oil cooler. so ya it can get hot when you drive the piss out of a manual.

chevylover: where is castro valley, never heard of it. ca is a fun state, i learn about new cities everyday and ive lived here my whole life.

Yeah draining the tranny on a 3650 is not that difficult, filling is a different story. You have to remove the shifter boot from the inside of the car and run a tube off a funnel to pour the fluid into the fill hole. Or buy a 5 dollar tool that sucks up the fluid and then you can pump it into the tranny.

Good luck. :bang:

It's just pull my shifter and fill thru the opening.
